Hello!
It's great to be able to write you, finally. We're only suppose to write letters on Sundays & Wednesdays, so I've had to wait, and in case you're wondering why, it's because they don't want greenies spending all their time writing letters, when they should be studying. Draconian, perhaps, but effective.
Anyways, things are going good. The first two days were so hectic, I have no idea what really happened, but now that we've been given a slight breather, everything is oriented, accounted for & properly evaluated, so I can focus as needed.
It's amazing what extremes in the Spirit are felt here. By that I mean I feel the Spirit in all that we do here, & it's very strong. However, one little slip, even a slight relaxing of one's mind, and Satan screams in, with all sorts of thoughts. Not bad ones, per say, but weakening ones. Things like "this is gonna take forever" "I'd rather be watching tv" "I really wanna go to sleep" (---that one happen a lot actually) "man it is hot", etc; things that distract and divert attention away from the Work. However, it's only ever a blip cause the Spirit is to strong here, it's easy to refocus and cast out such thoughts (which I promptly do).
As for my companion, Elder Kiiza (key-zah), he's pretty cool. He's kinda quiet and solitary, so it's kind of hard to get to know him. But, then again, I'm quite reserved myself (fine - truthfully even enjoy) with conversation, never much of one to break ponderable silence to initiate a conversation and yet, doing so with investigators hasn't been hard - too much anyways. Still something to work on. It's times like these that I envy Dad's ability to just talk to anyone about anything (Grandma's Bateman too). But I'll get the hang of it soon enough. Besides, there's always the Spirit to help me!
Anyways, I'll keep you guys posted. Sorry it's so short, but one page goes fast; next time I won't use the ruling. Anyways, love you, take care and God bless!

hooray Spirit!
