So, it was a long and trying week, but in the end, Rahel Okine was baptized! So it was well worth it.
Not much to report this week. Roland Lamptey, Aku's son, is being ordained a Deacon next Sunday (or something... Stake Conference might mess this up; I just realized that, even though the Bishopric said it would happen next week) so we're excited about that. Mummi Aku is really happy to hear that her son will be passing Sacrament; I don't think she fully understands yet the full honor and duty of the Priesthood or passing of the Sacrament, but she's very happy to see her son progressing and doing what the Lord asks of him, so she's beaming. Her testimony is already doing wonders! She shares it with anyone and everyone she possibly can. She saw a lady who lives along the street behind her house the other night reading - or rather, having to read but not reading - a Plan of Salvation pamphlet. She told us that she asked the lady how she got one of our pamphlets (she already says 'our' for everything when talking to us! I love it so much!) and the lady mentioned we had come looking for her son and left it with her. Immediately Mummi Aku went into bearing her testimony of how amazing the Church is, how it's True, and it's absolutely wonderful, how we do Tithing and Fast Offerings in such a wonderful way, how we teach and learn and love and all manner of things. She bore such a wonderful testimony, full of such love and appreciation for God, Jesus Christ, and the Church, in such a humble way (she still doesn't know a lot of Doctrine; haha) that the lady told her she wanted us to teach her son, because she'd love to have her son join such a Church. It's amazing; she's doing great. She's having a hard time getting her children to learn and read the scriptures and whatnot, but we keep telling her to just do her best, and all will work out. We also remind the children that they should listen to Mummi; haha. In other news, Prince should be baptized on the 28th of April, he being Aku's nephew. Bishop just needs to meet with Prince's parents to discuss things and clear it all, and then we got the go-ahead. Let's hope!
That's about it for this week. Can't wait to hear the General Conference Addresses April 30th - 1 May! The Africa West area gets them then, since it's the first Sunday of May, and we have to watch them (only two sessions, unfortunately) from the DVDs, so it takes time to get them here. I'm excited! I hope everyone else listened to them! I've read one or two (Elder Holland's and Pres. Monson's following) and they seem to be great! Of course, when are they not?

I love all of you. I pray for you all and I hope you are all doing well. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon every day, you will find the guidance and direction you need in life. The Book of Mormon "tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come" (Introduction, Book of Mormon). I know this to be True. I know that if you prayerfully read the Book of Mormon, you will receive insight and guidance for your life, and you will feel the loving Spirit touch your heart. But be prayerful! Ask God to help guide you when you read. Ask God to help you feel the love of the Spirit in your heart and in your mind. And, above all else, ask God this simple question: "Is the Book of Mormon True?" You will know by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is, if you but read and ask God, the Eternal Father in the name of Jesus Christ if it is True. Do that; even if you already have a testimony, do it! You will feel the confirming Spirit answer you that it is, and you will be able to feel the Spirit more fully in your life.
I love you all! Take care, and God Bless!
