Monday, October 3, 2011 "Short and Sweet Again"

I think I did this last week, or sometime recently, but not sure. Anyways, not much time.

In short, Eric finally came to Church! He was almost 2 hours late, but in the small bit that he saw, he really loved it. Even before coming, we took Bro. Joe, the WML, to visit him. He told Bro. Joe that "You Church is my Church, so definitely I'll be coming." After Church, we went to his place and fetched water for him. That was awkward for him, cause most people don't do service like that, and see it a dis-service to one's guests, but we did it anyways, and he was thankful.

After that, we went home, and I just about died in my bed, because I've been really sick since 0600 Sunday morning. Not very pleasant details, so I'll just say, I'm sick, recovering somewhat, and now just very exhausted. My head still hurts.

No, it's not Malaria, so far as I know. It's getting better, so it shouldn't be.

Um... that's it for now. We're going to teach Prosper and Portia; they're a family, I think I talked about them last week? We taught the wife first, and then came back to teach her, and met the husband, Prosper. We were afraid that he'd be all anti-preaching or whatever, but when we sat down with him (he was pounding fufu), he was really interested. He read the Gospel pamphlet we left his wife, and when we introduced the Book of Mormon, he kept setting the fufu piston down to talk with us, and his wife kept hitting his leg to remind him to keep pounding. He didn't know what to do, so we told him we'd reschedule, and come back later. We did, and he loved what we shared. He mentioned how he hated all these "clappy-clappy churches" and that "when I'm in the presence of my God, I feel I should be reverent." He read the part in the pamphlet where it explains how we worship, and he really liked it. We're teaching him tonight, hopefully. If I don't pass out on the way there, we should be able to; haha.

I love you all! Hope you enjoyed General Conference; we wont get it until next month. Take care, be strong, and read the Book of Mormon!
